Do you see both adults and children in your practice?
Yes. We specialize in evaluating children, adolescents, and adults in the practice and have years of experiencing treating each group of patients.
How long does psychiatric treatment usually take?
Unfortunately, there is no definite answer and each answer depends on each patient’s situation. Some patients respond to short-term treatment while others have had their symptoms for a long time or have a complicated clinical picture where longer-term treatment may be necessary. After the initial evaluation, We usually are able to give patients and family some idea of what length of treatment would be optimal.
Will my health insurance plan cover the cost of treatment?
Currently, our practice accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, PPOM Cofinity, Blue Cross Network, Cigna (HAP), Medicare, and Priority Health. However, insurance plans vary greatly. For that reason, we ask that you be aware of what your insurance plan covers, particularly deductibles and co-pays. Deductibles are an amount set by your plan that you are first required to pay out of pocket before your insurance will provide any benefits. A co-pay is an amount that you are required to pay once your deductible, if one exists, has been met. Please be aware that mental health benefits are often different than medical benefits. If you do not have any mental health benefits, or are responsible for a co-pay, or if we do not participate with your carrier, we request that payment is made at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made with your individual doctor.
Will information and treatment be kept confidential?
Of course. The practice follows federal HIPAA privacy compliance laws to maintain your privacy and security. We will not discuss information about you and/or your child with others without your consent except as required by law (e.g. situations where the patient is either an imminent danger to themselves or others).
